Yakult Factory Low-Level Wastewater Drainage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
◎ Models Installed:
GD Series - Submersible Portable Dewatering Pumps
◎ Description
In beverage manufacturing, maintaining hygiene standards requires frequent cleaning of storage tanks. However, removing the final layer of wastewater remains a common challenge. At the Yakult factory in Ho Chi Minh City, conventional pumps could not fully drain the last few millimeters of liquid. This led to longer cleaning times and repeated manual work. To improve efficiency, the facility adopted the HCP GD-R Series residual pump (GD-400AR) with the SH Hose Kit SH2B-10S PRO, creating a portable low-water-level drainage solution that can be quickly deployed across the plant. Designed for ultra-low water level applications, the GD-400AR can start at just 5mm and pump down to 1mm. This effectively removes residual wastewater from the bottom of tanks. Its lightweight aluminum alloy construction makes it easy to handle in confined spaces. The pump delivers a capacity of 4.2m³/h at a 10.5m head. It is paired with a 2-inch extendable hose featuring a Storz coupling and an angled connector to prevent bending and ensure smooth drainage. The system enables fast setup and easy mobility. As a result, the plant achieved more efficient tank cleaning, reduced manual work, and improved overall maintenance productivity.
